It’s time for my favorite type of post: a tally of the dividends I received in the prior month.
Given my strategy of DGI, it is really the dividend payouts that I care about. For each of the companies I invest in, I like to see a steady and growing stream of dividend payouts.
So how did I do in February?
Last month 15 companies sent me a dividend payout, adding up to a total of $431.
The following table shows the tickers of the companies that made a February 2019 dividend payout to my portfolio.
The table features the dividend amount I received and any change in payout as compared to the last pay-out moment.
Ticker | Dividends Received | Dividend per Share Change |
---|---|---|
T | $100.00 | |
VZ | $45.19 | |
CVS | $30.00 | |
TXN | $7.70 | |
AAPL | $10.95 | |
STAG | $5.96 | 0.76% |
OHI | $66.00 | |
AOS | $16.50 | |
ABBV | $53.50 | |
CAT | $12.90 | |
WSM | $12.90 | |
SBUX | $36.00 | |
CLDT | $11.00 | |
SPG | $20.50 | 2.50% |
SBRA | $1.80 | |
TOTAL | 430.90 |
The fact that 15 companies sent me dividend checks is great in and of itself, but the dividend raises have been lackluster last month.
In fact it was only Simon Property Group (SPG) that delivered a somewhat meaningful increase of 2.5%. The US’s largest mall operator continues to be successful in a challenging retail environment.
Comparing the dividend payout of February 2018 to February 2019 shows an increase of $283 to $431- a Year-on-Year (YoY) growth of 52%.
This YoY growth is featured in the table below.

You were not kidding when you said this was getting released today. I love how prompt you were with it haha All around, great month! It is interesting that you only had one dividend increase compared to last year. With 15 companies paying, you would have expected at least one more, right?

50% is really awesome.
